The World of Moira
The Holy See of Arram
Capital: Arras Ando
Language: East Continental Common
Religion: Seraphic ChurchArram is a temperate region in the eastern continental land mass of Moira, situated in the world' northern hemisphere. It has been spared the harsh climes of the desert or the north, making it valuable arable land that's good for both farming and lumber milling. The Mistral highlands to the north not only boast thick woods, but also valuable minerals within the rocky mounds making up the small fells. To the east, the coastline provides the kingdom access to the White Sea and the lands beyond. While being a reliable whaleroad for sea trade, the waters are also plentiful with fish to supply back to the mainland. The southern plains, then, prove to be Arram's breadbasket with its flat plains and rich soil fed by ancient glaciers that once laid overtop the land in the ancient days of prehistory. A notable watershed also provides reliable waterways for use as a means to move materials and trade items deeper inland. The region of Arram overall is home to exclusively human denizens, with Ymirkin keeping to their side of the northern borderlands.

The Children of Ymir
Considered one of the oldest mortal races to exist on Moira, the Ymirkin are humanoid half-giant folk that make their home in the Jorundar Mountain range to the cold north. It is said that the Ymirkin are flesh and blood children of Ymir, the First Giant, after forebears from a northern tribe of men tried to make contact with the creature in a desperate plea for help during a brutal winter. The legend goes on to claim that the giant gave the tribe milk from its body with no ounces of wisdom to part with, and that the women bore great, strong children as a result. The northern tribes were forever changed, and eternally grateful for the giant's rare offering of comfort. Thus, the half-giant kin of Ymir became the creature's loyal disciples, and stewards of the plots of nature that sprang from its footsteps. The Ymirkin largely resemble humans and range in height from 8 feet to 12 feet tall, with a wide range of skin colors. All Ymirkin share the mark of their primordial heritage, boasting a mane of hair starting at the neck and stretching down the back. They will purposefully allow it to grow long into tails as a sign of health and status. Cutting off the tail of their mane is viewed as stripping them of their strength, making them feel naked and small.
